"The R&B Club" 1965 - 1968
Welcome to the website remembering the
ABERDEEN UNIVERSITY R&B CLUB
The official name was actually
The Aberdeen University Rhythm & Blues Appreciation Society
but everyone just called it 'The R&B Club'
The Society was established in 1965
and the founder President was me Chris Rowling
My intention is to gather together here any photos and memories of
the R&B Club that still exist, and possibly to make contact with any of the original
members.....

It would be great to hear from anyone who remembers the club meetings on Tuesday evenings in
The Dive and maybe we can assemble a collection of pictures and other items to remember
the R&B Club.
There is an old suitcase in my attic containing membership cards for the club and tickets
for functions such as the TAMLA PARTY so I will have to dig it out.
