AFTER UNIVERSITY

After leaving Aberdeen I started working in television at the

Independent Television Authority in Knightsbridge,  which later became

The Independent Broadcasting Authority.

I spent my spare time in late 1968 building a new set of disco equipment.

My disco was based in Thornton Heath in Surrey and was known as the

Doctor Sureshot disco, the name coming from

Dandy's Jamaican 45 'Doctor Sureshot' on the Downtown label.

My career from 1969 to date

March 1969 The Independent Television Authority

1970 The Independent Broadcasting Authority

1973 Capital Radio (in tune with London)

Chris in 1973 at Capital Radio in London

1885 Hits Record Shop Redhill - opened after taking voluntary redundancy from Capital

1990 Hits Discotheques DJ (see photo above) when I made my living working as a DJ

2003 I also owned a haberdashery / wool shop in Redhill

for a while but I don't really like to talk about it!

Nowadays I am more or less retired although I run a small business

on ebay selling CDs from my home here in Orpington.
