Club Meetings in The Dive
Do you remember The Dive? It was half way down the steps to The Dungeon, in the corner on the left. Club Meetings were held on Tuesday evenings from 9 - 11pm in The Dive at the S.U. and the deejay was me Chris Rowling The regular barman was Sandy - remember him? Admission was 6d for members and 1/- for non-members. The format was to start with a few new release 45s then to play the current big dance records. We had to pay a hire charge to the SU for the Dive. The last record was always Philly Dog - the Herbie Mann version on Atlantic. You may remember the tune
