Welcome to the website for the original.....
Hits MOBILE DISCO
The Hits Mobile Disco was established in 1987
HiStORY
It all started at the St Barnabus Youth Club in Higher Drive, Purley
when Chris Rowling started playing records on the club's double turntable equipment
on Friday evenings.
Then as a student at Aberdeen University Chris established the
Aberdeen University R&B Club in 1965.

Working in my first job in TV my next disco started in Thornton Heath under the name of the Dr Sureshot disco.
Upon moving to Capital Radio in 1973 the disco took a back seat due to my working shifts and not always being free on Saturday nights.

In 1985 after opening my record shop HITS in Redhill the disco was revived under the name
HITS DISCOTHEQUES and we bought a brand new Suzuki van from Bakers in Redhill.

There is more about Hits Record Shop here.
Under the name HITS the disco built up and eventually I decided in 1990 to sell the shop and concentrate on deejaying.
In 2004 I sold the van to Kevin Hailes and the business to Neil Jones.
The story continues on Neil's website here.
